German defense firm ARX Robotics and Ukrainian company Roboneers have formalized a strategic partnership to advance unmanned land warfare systems. The agreement was signed in Kyiv in the presence of Chancellor Friedrich Merz and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The collaboration focuses on integrating the systems of both manufacturers and conducting joint development. The companies are already supplying ground drones to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, with ARX Robotics currently operating the largest fleet of Western-built ground drones in the country.

In June 2026, the partners established a joint venture named ARX Industries. This entity is tasked with the serial production of the Rys Pro unmanned ground vehicle in both Ukraine and Germany.

The Ukrainian government projects a demand for 50 000 unmanned ground systems throughout 2026. ARX Robotics plans to leverage its existing partnerships with industrial firms like Deutz to scale manufacturing and meet these production requirements.
