The MiniFreak 49 expands Arturia’s digital synthesizer lineup with a focus on professional interface updates. The device features 49 full-sized, semi-weighted keys, replacing the 37 minikeys found on the standard MiniFreak model. The instrument includes mono aftertouch and replaces previous touchstrips with aluminum pitch and modulation wheels.
The hardware includes a larger LCD screen and dedicated controls for its two sound engines, allowing simultaneous adjustments. Users have access to over 30 digital oscillator types paired with analog filters. The synthesizer introduces audio-rate filter FM and provides 256MB of storage capacity for user samples and wavetables.
A new XYZ touchpad replaces the traditional knob-based interface for the modulation matrix. This addition is designed to accelerate preset browsing and enable real-time performance control, including macro adjustments and filter manipulation. The device is currently available for purchase with an MSRP of $849.
