Artizen, a platform dedicated to funding art, science, and cultural projects, has officially ceased active operations as of October 5, 2026. The company has transitioned to a payout-only model, instructing users and creators to visit the official website to claim pending funds or withdraw balances.
The platform previously utilized NFT sales and community voting to distribute funding. Its native token, ART, was issued on the Base network and functioned as a share in the Artizen Endowment. The treasury, which holds assets in USD, USDC, and other cryptocurrencies, was valued at over $14 million at the time of the last snapshot.
While the company has not provided a reason for the shutdown or a timeline for the payout phase, it confirmed that ongoing payments from previous seasons are still being processed following compliance checks. The platform's X account is no longer monitored, and all inquiries must be directed to the support email.
Holders of the ART token are currently seeking clarity regarding the future of the buyback mechanism and the management of the treasury. Unlike projects that abandon tokens entirely, ART was designed with a redemption path against the treasury, providing holders with a potential exit route during the wind-down process.
