Arenadata has released version 7.5.0 of its Arenadata DB (ADB) software, which is based on the open-source Greengage project. The update introduces the Manage Rebalance tool, allowing administrators to modify cluster topology, such as adjusting segment counts or adding and removing hosts, without requiring a full cluster reinstallation.
The release integrates support for Iceberg tables within the PXF framework to enhance data integration capabilities. Additionally, the system now utilizes Prometheus for monitoring, replacing the previous Diamond solution, and includes support for the Greengage Exporter.
Security and operational improvements include the integration of PgBouncer for connection pool management and the implementation of LDAPS for secure connections using SSL encryption. Users can now select between MD5 or SCRAM-SHA-256 password encryption algorithms.
The update ensures compatibility with current versions of Russian operating systems, specifically Astra Linux 1.8.4 and the certified edition of Red OS 8.0. These changes aim to provide greater flexibility for managing analytical infrastructure and adapting to evolving corporate IT requirements.
