Arbitrum One has become the first blockchain to surpass 7,000 tokenized real-world assets (RWA). According to data from RWA.xyz, the network hosts approximately 7,083 assets, more than doubling its count since mid-August 2026. The total distributed value of these assets is currently estimated at $1.03 billion.
The ecosystem has seen significant activity, with 30-day transfer volumes reaching $1.08 billion and over 11,481 active holders. Growth is primarily driven by equity tokens, alongside Treasury bills, commodities, and private credit instruments. Key contributors include Reality, Spiko, Franklin Templeton, and Robinhood.
Since 2024, the Arbitrum DAO has actively attracted issuers through its Stable Treasury Endowment Program (STEP). This initiative allocates treasury funds into real-world assets to generate yield and provide liquidity. The network's layer-2 architecture offers lower transaction costs compared to the Ethereum mainnet.
Despite the growth in asset count, the RWA sector faces ongoing challenges, including liquidity fragmentation and regulatory uncertainty. The SEC has yet to provide comprehensive guidance regarding the application of securities laws to blockchain-native representations of traditional financial assets.
