Aquarius Group has released version 7.8.0 of its AqNOS network operating system. The update is compatible with the AQ-N3000, AQ-N5000, and AQ-N6000 switch series and can be installed directly from any previous version.

The new release introduces support for DC power supplies for the AQ-N6000 and AQ-N5000-48Y8C models, targeting telecommunications and industrial infrastructure. Diagnostic capabilities have been expanded, including the ability to mirror traffic across four sessions and millisecond-precision timestamps in system logs.

Network management features now include improved Voice VLAN functionality, allowing attribute assignment via RADIUS server authorization. SNMP support for multiple Voice VLANs has been added, and configuration options for RADIUS and TACACS+ servers have been enhanced through VRF support.

Routing protocols have been updated, specifically for BGP EVPN networks. The release adds support for routing policies on BGP EVPN neighbors and enables the transmission of additional BGP attributes. Furthermore, the response time to Route Refresh messages in BGP has been reduced to improve network stability.
