The updated AppZapper 3000, released on September 14, is designed to remove Mac applications along with their associated files. The tool requires Full Disk Access permissions to locate these files across the system.
Users can initiate the deletion process by dragging an application into the interface and clicking the Zap All button. The software features four distinct themes and includes laser gun animations and sound effects during the removal process.
The developer, Austin Sarner, stated that the new version is optimized for current macOS security requirements and features improved capabilities for identifying related application files.
Pricing for the software is set at $18 for a single-user license. A family pack is available for $29, which allows installation on up to 5 Mac devices.
AppZapper was originally launched in 2006. The release of version 3000 coincides with the 20th anniversary of the utility.
