AppSec Solutions has updated its Appsec.Sting platform, introducing AI agent management via the MCP protocol and support for virtual iPhones running iOS 26. These updates aim to streamline security analysis for mobile applications by automating routine tasks and providing a stable testing environment.

The integration of MCP allows AI agents to perform tasks such as configuring scan rules, executing user scenarios, and analyzing results based on natural language instructions. Agents interact with application interfaces by clicking elements, swiping, and entering text. According to company data, this automation has accelerated engineer workflows by 3 to 5 times.

The new virtual environment for iOS 26 replicates the full functionality previously available on physical devices running iOS 16. These virtual instances operate on Apple Silicon hardware, eliminating the need for physical devices. The environment supports root-level access and uses custom tweaks for application instrumentation instead of Frida.

The platform maintains its microservices-based Kubernetes architecture and remains available for on-premises deployment. Security engineers retain control over the process, as they define objectives, verify agent findings, and manage audit logs for all MCP-based interactions.
