A Reddit user shared images comparing the Apple Watch Series 12 and Series 11, highlighting a more visible bezel on the newer model. The visual evidence confirms design changes that differentiate the latest iteration from its predecessor.
Technical specifications indicate that the Series 12 chassis width has increased by 1 mm across most versions. Specifically, the 42 mm aluminum and titanium models now measure 37 mm in width, while the 46 mm versions have reached 40 mm in width.
The ceramic variants of the Series 12 show even greater dimensional shifts. The 42 mm ceramic model increased in height by 1 mm, width by 1 mm, and thickness by 0.15 mm. The 46 mm ceramic version saw a 1 mm increase in height, 2 mm in width, and 0.15 mm in thickness.
These physical adjustments have resulted in a reduction of total screen area. The 42 mm model display decreased by 19 square millimeters, or approximately 1.9 percent. The 46 mm model saw a reduction of 24 square millimeters, which represents a decrease of about 2.0 percent.
