Apple has officially added the 2019 21.5-inch iMac to its vintage product list. This specific model marks the final iteration of the 21.5-inch iMac line to feature Intel processors, ending a long-standing hardware era for the company's compact all-in-one desktop computers.
According to Apple's internal policy, vintage status applies to devices that have not been sold by the company for more than five years but less than seven years. The 2019 model is now subject to these service and support guidelines, with full obsolescence expected to occur in 2028.
The technical specifications of the 2019 iMac included eighth-generation Intel processors paired with AMD Radeon graphics. The device retained the slim chassis design that Apple introduced in 2012. Regarding software updates, the model is likely to remain on the macOS Sequoia version permanently.
