Apple has introduced updated 70W and 140W power adapters alongside a new global travel adapter kit. The 70W model is recommended for the 14-inch MacBook Pro and 13-inch or 15-inch MacBook Air, while the 140W version is designed for the 16-inch MacBook Pro. Both units support fast charging, reaching 50% capacity in approximately 30 minutes.
The new accessories feature an oval-shaped AC interface 2 design, replacing the previous grooved AC interface 1 standard to comply with updated regulations. The company also released a 1.8-meter extension cable compatible with these new power adapters.
Additionally, Apple launched new Beats-branded braided cables. The 1.5-meter USB-C to USB-C cable supports up to 60W charging and USB 2.0 data transfer speeds. A 1.5-meter USB-A to USB-C version is also available, supporting up to 15W charging for specific iPhone and iPad models.
These braided cables are designed for durability, having undergone thousands of hours of testing. They are compatible with various Apple and Android devices for charging, data synchronization, and CarPlay connectivity.
