According to Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman, Apple is preparing to launch new MacBook Pro models featuring OLED touchscreens. The company is expected to release these devices in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes as early as October 2026.

The new laptops are currently being tested with the macOS 27.2 beta operating system. The official release of macOS 27.2 is anticipated for the end of October, which may coincide with the debut of the updated hardware.

The upcoming MacBook Pro will feature a thinner chassis and replace the traditional notch design with a Dynamic Island. Internally, the devices will be powered by the new M5 Pro or M5 Max chips to support the enhanced display and touch capabilities.
