Apple is expected to announce a new MacBook Pro featuring a touchscreen at its upcoming Pro and Tell event. The device is rumored to incorporate an OLED display, which is anticipated to increase the overall cost of the laptop. Current models, such as the 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M5 Pro chip, start at $2,499.

The new hardware is expected to be powered by M5 Pro and M5 Max chips and will be available in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes. Reports suggest the design may feature a thinner and lighter chassis, alongside a Dynamic Island cutout for the webcam, replacing the traditional notch found on previous models.

Software updates are also anticipated, with rumors pointing to a revised version of the operating system, macOS 27 Golden Gate, which will include touch-friendly enhancements. This new model is expected to exist as an offshoot within the current lineup rather than a direct replacement for existing MacBook Pro versions.
