Apple has launched a new 'Switch to Safari' campaign on its US website, featuring dedicated web pages and two promotional videos. The initiative highlights the browser's performance, battery efficiency, and privacy features on Mac devices compared to Google Chrome.
According to Apple, Safari offers up to 5 hours more battery life during video streaming compared to Chrome. Furthermore, the browser is reported to load frequently visited websites up to 35% faster than its competitor.
The campaign emphasizes privacy, claiming that Chrome allows third-party trackers to collect user data for advertising purposes. Apple also highlights its own tools, such as Intelligent Tracking Prevention and Distraction Control, which allows users to hide pop-ups and ads.
The new promotional page includes a comparison chart detailing features like Reader Mode, Profiles, and Apple Pay integration. The two videos specifically demonstrate how Distraction Control and Intelligent Tracking Prevention function to improve the user experience.
