Apple plans to release updated hardware before the end of the year, following the recent launch of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo. Findings from Aaron Perris of MacRumors indicate that the company is preparing a new HomePod mini, the iPad mini 8, and a refreshed Apple TV 4K.

The HomePod Mini 2 retains the design of the 2020 original but introduces new color options, including green, pink, blue, white, and black. These shades are described as more subdued than the current orange, yellow, and blue variants.

The iPad mini 8 will replace the two-year-old seventh-generation model. It features the A20 Pro chip, replacing the previous A17 Pro. The front-facing camera has been moved to the landscape edge, and a new groove on the top suggests an additional speaker.

Reports suggest the iPad mini 8 may incorporate an OLED display and improved waterproofing via a vibration-based speaker. The upcoming 4th generation Apple TV is expected to retain its predecessor's design while potentially adopting the A17 Pro chip and the N1 Bluetooth and Wi-Fi chip.
