Apple has officially released the A20 Pro processor, the first mobile chip manufactured using TSMC's 2nm N2 process. The chip features a six-core architecture consisting of two super cores and four efficiency cores, with a maximum frequency of 4.93GHz.

In Geekbench 7 testing, the A20 Pro achieved a single-core score of 4006 and a multi-core score of 11460. This represents a 23.3% increase in single-core performance and a 27.1% increase in multi-core performance compared to the previous A19 Pro.

The chip incorporates a memory subsystem with a 50% increase in interface bandwidth over its predecessor, likely utilizing a 96-bit memory I/O. These architectural improvements allow the A20 Pro to outperform several mobile and desktop processors in single-core benchmarks.

The A20 Pro currently powers the iPhone 18 Pro series. Apple plans to expand the use of this chip architecture to its iPad and entry-level laptop product lines in the future.
