Apple has officially opened pre-orders for its first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, with prices starting at ¥15 999. The high demand caused temporary access issues on the official Apple website, the Apple Store app, and major retail platforms like Tmall and JD.com.

Current delivery estimates for the 512GB model have already been pushed back to January 23, 2026, as initial stock has been exhausted. Apple expects that shipping timelines may improve as production capacity increases in the coming months.

Repair costs for the device are significant: replacing the back glass costs ¥1 598, while combined damage to the outer screen and back glass is priced at ¥4 298. Repairing the internal screen requires a payment of ¥7 998.

To mitigate potential repair expenses, Apple offers an Apple Care plus service package for the iPhone Duo priced at ¥2 599. Users who have already secured their pre-orders report varying delivery dates ranging from December to early next year.
