Apple has officially launched pre-orders for the iPhone Duo, alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. The company's marketing materials describe the internal display as flat and smooth, utilizing a nanotextured finish to reduce glare and reflections. Apple claims that optically clear adhesives allow the display layers to slide during folding, which is intended to minimize the visibility of the crease.

The device features a hinge mechanism composed of more than 100 individual components. To provide structural support, Apple integrated stiffening ribs and a titanium panel beneath the display. While the company emphasizes the hinge's balanced resistance and long-term reliability, it has not disclosed the specific number of folding cycles the device is rated for in its official documentation.

Despite Apple's focus on display design, early user photos of the 7.6-inch internal screen reveal a visible crease at the fold point. The company's FAQ page avoids a direct confirmation regarding the presence of a crease, opting instead to highlight the display's surface quality. Meanwhile, early feedback from users has highlighted the device's screen animation performance.
