Apple recently unveiled its first smart display, the HomeView, with an official release date set for November 13th. Despite the upcoming launch, Amazon has already opened pre-orders for the device at a reduced price of $289.99, which is $10 lower than the standard retail cost.

The device is available in two color options: gray and starlight. This early discount is notable, as price reductions on new Apple hardware prior to their market debut are uncommon. The product is positioned as a central hub for smart home management, featuring support for both Matter and Thread protocols.

Equipped with a seven-inch square touchscreen, the HomeView can identify up to six individual users and adjust its interface to show personalized content. The hardware includes a 12-megapixel FaceTime camera for video calls and integrates with Apple’s AI-powered Siri assistant to access personal context from calendars, emails, and messages.

Beyond its communication features, the HomeView serves as an entertainment center for music and photo playback. It also provides functionality for monitoring HomeKit Secure Video cameras and managing smart home devices, functioning as a dedicated interface for household tasks and scheduling.
