Apple has introduced the Apple Home Collection, a new series of smart home accessories developed in partnership with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric. The lineup includes indoor and outdoor cameras, video doorbells, smart locks, thermostats, and temperature sensors designed for the Apple Home ecosystem.

LG provides four camera models, including a video doorbell with dual lenses and floodlight, indoor, and outdoor units. Most cameras support 2.5K resolution and feature object recognition for people, pets, and vehicles. Recordings are stored for up to 10 days via iCloud+ without requiring extra subscriptions, and devices support local recording during Wi-Fi outages.

The smart lock utilizes Ultra-Wideband technology for proximity-based unlocking via iPhone or Apple Watch. It supports Matter and Aliro standards, allowing local operation even without an internet connection. Users can manage access permissions and view visitors directly through the Home app, with integration options for video doorbells.

Thermostats from LG and Schneider Electric support Matter and integrate with HVAC systems. The system uses adaptive temperature controls based on occupancy and environmental data from sensors. A Clean Energy feature is available in 48 US states to optimize heating and cooling based on energy pricing and grid cleanliness.

The collection supports Thread connectivity for automatic updates and Siri-based automation. Privacy is maintained through end-to-end encryption for all video and personal data. Sales begin in December, with some products arriving in 2027. Professional installation via ADT will be offered in US Apple Stores.

Pricing for LG cameras ranges from $199.95 to $399.95, while the smart lock is priced at $349.95. Thermostats cost $199.95 each, and sensors are $39.95. Accessories like power adapters and wall plates are sold separately. Availability varies by region, with cameras launching in the US, Canada, and the UK.
