Apple has introduced the Apple Home Collection, a new line of smart home accessories including cameras, thermostats, sensors, and smart locks. The devices were developed in partnership with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric.
The product lineup features four LG cameras with up to 2.5K resolution, supporting iCloud+ for 10-day video history and Apple Intelligence for video summaries. The LG smart deadbolt utilizes ultra-wideband technology for proximity-based unlocking via iPhone or Apple Watch.
New smart thermostats from LG and Schneider Electric offer automated climate control based on user presence. Both the thermostats and sensors are compatible with the Matter standard and support DIY installation with integrated wire detection.
All devices are managed through the Apple Home app without requiring separate accounts. Data is end-to-end encrypted, ensuring that Apple, LG, and Schneider Electric cannot access user information or video footage.
Products will begin shipping in December, with some items arriving in early 2027. Pricing starts at $199.95 for indoor cameras and thermostats, while the video doorbell and smart lock start at $249.95 and $349.95 respectively.
