Apple has introduced HomeView, its first smart home display equipped with a 7-inch Liquid Retina touchscreen and integrated Siri AI. The device functions as a central hub for smart home control, personal assistance, and communication, featuring a 12 MP camera with support for FaceTime and Center Stage.

The hardware includes an aluminum base that serves as a speaker and is available in both tabletop and wall-mounted configurations. Users navigate the interface through gestures, including swipes for switching display faces, accessing a control center, and managing on-board applications synced from an iPhone.

The device integrates with the Apple Home app, allowing users to manage connected accessories like thermostats and locks. Security features include facial recognition for authentication. Additionally, the system supports Handoff for transferring recipes from an iPhone to the display for guided cooking.

Siri AI on HomeView provides contextual information by accessing personal data such as text messages and calendar appointments. The device is priced at $299, with preorders starting immediately and shipping scheduled to commence on November 13th.
