Apple has unveiled the HomeView, a new smart display featuring a seven-inch squircle design. The device is priced at $299 and is designed to serve as a central hub for smart home management. It supports Thread and Matter connectivity, allowing users to control various smart home devices directly from the display.

The device offers several functional features, including the ability to display recipes, manage music playback, and conduct FaceTime calls. Users can also access widgets and view information from messages and emails. When paired with an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad, the HomeView supports natural-language voice interactions through Siri.

Customers can choose between two hardware configurations for the same price: a version with a speaker base, which includes a custom down-firing woofer and two passive radiators, or a wall-mounted option without the base. The product is available in multiple colors and is scheduled to launch on November 13.
