Apple has officially entered the foldable smartphone market with the introduction of the iPhone Duo. The device features a horizontal book-style folding mechanism, measuring approximately 4.5 mm in thickness when unfolded and about 9 mm when closed, with a total weight between 229 and 240 grams.

The hardware is powered by the A20 Pro chip, 12 GB of RAM, and Apple's proprietary C2 modem. Storage options range from 256 GB to 2 TB. The device includes a 5.4-inch external screen and a 7.6-inch internal flexible display, protected by a titanium frame and Ceramic Shield glass with an IP68 rating.

The camera system consists of two 48-megapixel rear sensors for main and ultra-wide shots, omitting a dedicated telephoto lens. The device supports Apple Pencil for the first time on an iPhone and reintroduces Touch ID integrated into the power button. It also utilizes a vapor chamber cooling system.

Available in Starlight and Midnight colors, the iPhone Duo is expected to launch in October 2026. Pricing starts at approximately $2,000 for the 256 GB model, with the 2 TB version potentially reaching $3,000. Initial supply may be limited due to complex manufacturing processes.
