Apple has officially opened pre-orders for its first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, as of October 16. The device is available for purchase through the company's online store and the Apple Store application, utilizing a queue-based system for customer access.
The pricing for the iPhone Duo starts at $1,999 for the 256GB model, while the top-tier 2TB version is priced at $3,199. These figures do not include potential trade-in credits or carrier-specific promotional discounts.
The device features a foldable display that offers 50% more screen area compared to the iPhone 18 Pro Max. This design is intended to support multitasking, web browsing, and media consumption, requiring specific software adaptations within the iOS ecosystem.
Apple has scheduled the official market release for October 23. Due to high demand, shipping times for certain configurations may be delayed, and availability may vary based on the specific color and storage capacity selected by the customer.
