Apple has updated its product lineup with the launch of the iPhone 18 and the foldable iPhone Duo. Alongside these releases, the company increased the prices of existing iPhone models by $100 in its online store.

The updated pricing structure sets the starting cost for the iPhone 16 at $799, the iPhone 17e at $699, the iPhone 17 at $899, and the iPhone Air at $1,099. Additionally, Apple has discontinued the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max models.

International markets are experiencing more significant adjustments, with prices in India rising by approximately 20.5%. This shift follows earlier price increases across the Mac and iPad lineups implemented by the company in June.

The price hikes are attributed to rising costs of memory and storage chips, driven by high demand from AI companies and cloud providers. Former CEO Tim Cook previously noted that the company could no longer absorb these component costs entirely.
