Hardware testers have conducted extreme overclocking experiments on the Apple A20 Pro chip. By utilizing liquid nitrogen cooling and a newly designed second-generation vapor chamber, the team pushed the processor beyond its standard thermal limits to measure its peak potential.
The A20 Pro features a redesigned CPU and GPU architecture with increased transistor density. In standard conditions, thermal management and power consumption constraints typically prevent the chip from maintaining maximum clock speeds for extended periods.
Under cryogenic conditions, the A20 Pro achieved record-breaking benchmark scores. Multi-core performance increased by more than 30% compared to the previous generation, with results in rendering and floating-point calculations surpassing some mainstream desktop processors.
The evaluation also tested the second-generation vapor chamber under normal high-load scenarios. By optimizing the internal capillary structure and phase change cycle, the module improved heat conduction rates, allowing the device to sustain high performance longer during gaming.
