The GeekBench AI benchmark results for the Apple A20 Pro chip, featured in the iPhone 18 Pro (model identifier iPhone19,2), appeared on September 12. The device achieved a single-precision score of 5,144 points in the platform's tests.

Data from the GeekBench AI platform shows GPU scores of 12,775, 24,077, and 26,951. The Neural Engine scores are recorded at 7,002, 55,720, and 75,810, reflecting performance across various precision levels for on-device machine learning tasks.

The A20 Pro chip features a 32-core neural engine, structured as dual 16-core units. Apple has integrated a new generation of neural accelerators that double the speed of 8-bit floating-point operations. Additionally, the chip's memory bandwidth has been increased by 50%.

These hardware improvements aim to enhance on-device large model inference for tasks such as real-time translation and generative AI. The upgraded NPU also supports more complex camera algorithms, including night mode and real-time video stabilization, while improving overall energy efficiency.
