Antler has invested £2.2 million into 10 pre-seed startups in the UK. The funding round includes direct investments in existing teams and new founder residencies. Each startup receives approximately £210 000, structured as a combination of debt and equity.
The portfolio includes companies such as Cloop, Lir Labs, Marco, Ninopay, Picnic, Plenex, siliXon, and Sonura. Two additional startups remain in stealth mode. Over one-third of these firms are focused on physical AI and industrial automation.
Antler partner Hannah Leach noted that the firm has increased its investment size per company compared to previous rounds. In spring 2025, the firm invested £1.7 million across 14 startups, averaging £121 000 each.
The current investment terms include £125 000 for 8.5 percent equity, an £85 000 convertible note, and up to £330 000 pre-committed for future rounds. These terms were previously reported in August 2025.
Data indicates that only 12 percent of UK startups that secure a seed round proceed to Series A. Antler’s analysis is based on over 41 800 funding rounds in the UK, where AI companies raised $12.6 billion in the first half of 2026.
