Antioch Inc. is focusing on replacing physical robot testing with high-fidelity simulation. The company's software calibrates simulations to a customer's specific hardware and runs them on cloud infrastructure, allowing teams to run thousands of parallel evaluations instead of a single physical experiment.

The startup is approximately 16 months old, founded in May 2025 by Harry Mellsop, a former Tesla Autopilot software engineer, and four other co-founders from Google DeepMind, Meta Platforms' Reality Labs, and Transpose Inc. (which was acquired by Chainalysis Inc. in 2023).

Antioch has established partnerships with Nvidia Corp. and Nebius Group N.V. The company is integrating Nvidia's open physical AI stack, including Omniverse libraries and the Isaac Sim and Isaac Lab frameworks, while Nebius provides the cloud infrastructure necessary for the simulation software.

The Series A round was led by Greylock Partners, with participation from A* Capital, Category Ventures, BoxGroup Ventures, and Icehouse Ventures Ltd. Individual investors include Palantir Technologies' CTO Shyam Sankar, Foxglove's CEO Adrian Macneil, and Nvidia executive Ian Andrews.

The company has raised a total of $44.75 million. This includes the current $32 million round, the $4.25 million pre-seed round in December, и the $8.5 million round in April.
