Anthropic is preparing for an initial public offering, with a potential debut as early as November. The company filed for an IPO confidentially on June 1, noting that the final timing depends on market conditions and other factors.

Reports suggest the IPO could value the company at approximately $2 trillion and raise up to $100 billion. Such a figure would exceed the records established by SpaceX in June.

The company's revenue run rate grew from $9 billion at the end of 2025 to $65 billion by the end of July. This financial growth supports the company's decision to proceed with the public listing despite public debates regarding the pace of AI development.

In contrast, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman stated on September 11 that his company will not pursue an IPO in 2026. OpenAI, which also filed confidentially on June 8, maintains that it is in no rush to go public due to ongoing concerns regarding AI safety.
