Anthropic has officially opened a new office in Singapore, marking a significant expansion of its international presence. The company also signed a memorandum of understanding with the Singaporean Ministry of Digital Development and Information to foster collaboration.
The partnership involves key local entities, including the Government Technology Agency of Singapore, the ride-hailing platform Grab, and DBS Bank. Anthropic aims to support these organizations by integrating its AI technologies into their operations.
A core focus of the agreement is the evaluation of AI safety, cybersecurity, and large language model security. Both parties intend to promote the responsible adoption of artificial intelligence across government and private sectors.
According to the company's latest Economic Index, Singapore ranks second globally in Claude.ai usage relative to its population size. The actual adoption rate in the country is nearly six times higher than initial projections.
