Ant Group CEO Han Xinyi announced that the company will introduce incentive policies to accelerate the development of an AI agent ecosystem. During the 2026 Inclusion Bund Summit, Han noted that while merchants are interested in AI-driven growth, they face challenges in converting services into agent-compatible formats.
Han described Ant Group's role as a catalyst for the agent economy, focusing on security, trust, and ecosystem development. He highlighted that the current market suffers from a chicken-and-egg problem, where users lack available services and merchants hesitate to invest due to low user demand.
The company plans to launch incentive policies for Alipay's 'Abao' to support developers in creating functional AI agents. This initiative aims to connect user needs with merchant services, shifting commercial traffic from time-based engagement to intent-based interactions.
Ant Group is prioritizing the creation of a new trust infrastructure for AI agents. This includes user authorization mechanisms, identity verification for agents, capability assessments, and robust financial security systems to ensure accountability and risk control in automated transactions.
