Anduril Industries, founded by Palmer Luckey, is developing the BlueChip laptop series. These devices will feature Qualcomm Snapdragon X Series processors, which are manufactured at the TSMC facility in Arizona. The company aims to source approximately 90% of the initial components from the United States or allied nations.
The production strategy includes assembling circuit boards at the Arsenal-1 facility located in Ohio. Anduril plans to establish domestic manufacturing capabilities for enclosures, batteries, and other hardware components. Functional prototypes have already been developed by the company.
Preorders for the BlueChip laptops are scheduled for 2027. While specific technical details and pricing are not yet public, Palmer Luckey estimates the cost will be about 20% higher than standard high-end consumer PCs. The devices are primarily intended for government, security, and military sectors.
The laptops will not be available in standard retail stores during the initial generations. However, Luckey has stated that Anduril intends to expand its operations to produce consumer-oriented laptops made in the United States in the future.
