The latest Android 17 QPR3 Beta 1 update introduces a new feature called Gamepad mouse. This functionality allows users to control the on-screen cursor directly using the analog sticks of a connected game controller or joystick.

Unlike the existing system which only permits navigation between specific clickable elements, this new implementation simulates touch input. Users can move the cursor freely across the screen and perform clicks using the controller buttons, mimicking standard mouse behavior.

Previously, users relied on third-party key mapping applications or specific controllers with built-in touchpads to achieve similar control. The integration of this feature into the Android system eliminates the need for extra software or specialized hardware.
