Anchorage Digital, the first federally chartered crypto bank in the US, announced the acquisition of payment orchestration platform Routable on October 6, 2026. Routable, founded in 2017, specializes in automating payments for vendors and contractors. The platform has reported over 100% growth in each of the last two years and serves clients such as Veho, Ethos, and Polestar.
Following the deal, the company will operate under the name Routable by Anchorage Digital. Anchorage plans to integrate stablecoin and tokenized deposit settlement into the existing Routable platform over the coming quarters. This strategy aims to offer digital assets as an additional payment option alongside traditional fiat transactions for corporate finance teams.
The acquisition follows a significant capital raise for Anchorage in February 2026, when Tether invested $100 million, bringing the bank's valuation to $4.2 billion. Routable has previously secured backing from investors including Sam Altman and Joe Gebbia. The integration will combine Anchorage's regulated infrastructure with Routable's established corporate payment interface.
