Anbernic has unveiled the RG DDS, a new dual-screen handheld console designed for emulation. The device features a 4.7-inch top screen with a resolution of 1,200x720 and a 4-inch bottom display with a resolution of 960x720. Both screens offer triple the resolution of the original Nintendo 3DS, allowing for improved scaling of emulated content.

The handheld is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon G2 Gen 2 chipset and includes a 6,000mAh battery. The hardware design incorporates an additional analog thumbstick for 3D gaming and an integrated extendable stylus. Anbernic has also added a dedicated button for AI features, though specific details on these capabilities remain undisclosed.

The device will be available in blue, white, and black color options. While Anbernic has not yet announced the pricing for the RG DDS, the company's existing RG DS and RG DS Plus models are priced under $100. The new console aims to compete in the dual-screen market, where rivals like the Ayaneo Pocket DS currently start at $579.
