The upcoming RDNA 5 graphics architecture from AMD is reportedly slated for a release in the second half of 2027. According to hardware industry leaks, the company is not expected to debut any desktop graphics cards based on this architecture until after Computex 2027.

The initial rollout will likely feature the AT2 silicon, which is categorized as a mid-range design. This launch will be followed by the introduction of additional models, including the AT0, AT3, and AT4 variants, which are currently projected to arrive throughout 2028.

Technical specifications for the RDNA 5 series indicate the integration of GDDR7 memory. References to this VRAM type have already appeared in the AMDGPU driver, distinguishing these future consumer-grade cards from the company's data center and workstation hardware that utilizes HBM3E and HBM4 memory.
