AMD is reportedly preparing a new Ryzen 5 7500 processor based on the Zen 4 architecture. The chip is expected to feature six cores and twelve threads, with a base clock speed of 3.7 GHz and a boost clock of 5.0 GHz. It will utilize the AM5 socket and have a total cache of 38MB, likely split between 32MB L3 and 6MB L2.
The primary difference between this model and the Ryzen 5 7500F is the addition of integrated graphics. The iGPU is expected to consist of two small RDNA 2 compute units, suitable for basic tasks and display output rather than gaming.
The rumored price for the Ryzen 5 7500 is €230 or $267. For comparison, the Ryzen 5 7500F launched at $179 three years ago and currently retails for around $116 or €105.
The higher price may be attributed to the inclusion of a box and cooler, as the 7500F is sold as a tray-only package. However, there is no confirmed launch window for the new processor.
