AMD has confirmed a security vulnerability affecting its Radeon RX 7000 series graphics cards. While the company has not yet disclosed specific details regarding the nature of these flaws, it has initiated a coordinated security update process to address the risks.
Manufacturers Sapphire and Gigabyte have already begun releasing vBIOS updates for various models in the RX 7000 lineup. Sapphire has provided tools for eight models ranging from the RX 7600 to the RX 7900 XTX, though some cards currently remain unsupported and await further patches.
Gigabyte has explicitly linked its recent vBIOS updates to the AMD-SN-6023 security bulletin. Some of these files were dated as early as September 2026, suggesting that the rollout of these security patches has been underway for several weeks.
AMD emphasizes that there is currently no evidence of these vulnerabilities being exploited in real-world scenarios. The company advises users to install firmware updates as soon as they become available from their respective hardware manufacturers.
