AMD has introduced the EXPO Ultra Low Latency (EXPO ULL) extension for its memory profiles, designed to automate more aggressive memory settings. Unlike standard EXPO profiles, which primarily cover basic timings, EXPO ULL includes additional parameters such as tRRD_S, tRRD_L, tWTR_S, tWTR_L, tRTP, tFAW, and tREFI.

The inclusion of tREFI, which governs the data refresh interval, is a key feature of the new standard, as it significantly impacts performance on Ryzen processors. AMD has left the GDM mode setting outside the specification to maintain stability across various motherboard designs.

To utilize EXPO ULL, users require both compatible memory modules and a motherboard BIOS updated to AGESA version 1.3.0.1b or later. G.Skill is among the first to release such hardware with its Trident Z5 NeoX RGB series.

The G.Skill Trident Z5 NeoX RGB DDR5-6000 CL36 32GB kit consists of two 16GB modules. The manufacturer notes that these kits command a higher price due to the rigorous selection process required for chips capable of handling more aggressive timings.
