Amber Premium, a platform owned by the Nasdaq-listed Amber International, has officially become a masternode validator for the XDC Network. The company is executing this role through its Singapore-based subsidiary, Sparrow Tech. This entity currently holds a Major Payment Institution license granted by the Monetary Authority of Singapore for digital payment token services.
By acting as a validator, Amber joins a group of institutional participants on the XDC Network, which already includes Deutsche Telekom, Republic, Clearpool, and SBI-linked infrastructure providers. The network focuses on trade finance and the tokenization of real-world assets, such as corporate debt and financial instruments. For instance, Brazil-based VERT Capital has announced intentions to tokenize up to $1 billion in assets on the platform.
The integration of regulated financial firms into the validator layer is intended to increase institutional trust in blockchain infrastructure. XDC suggests that as AI agents begin to initiate financial transactions autonomously, the reliability of the underlying validation layer becomes critical. This shift reflects a broader trend where financial companies are increasingly investing in the operation of blockchain infrastructure.
