Amazon has introduced a new line of tablets, the Alexa Tablet 12 Pro, 11, and 8, which run on Android and provide full access to the Google Play Store. Unlike previous Fire tablets, these devices feature a new operating system and hardware, including an aluminum unibody design.

The 12-inch Pro model offers a 120Hz display, Dolby Atmos speakers, and Wi-Fi 6E support, with pricing starting at $499.99. The 11-inch version starts at $329.99, while the 8.7-inch portable model is priced from $229.99.

All new tablets integrate the Alexa+ AI assistant, which includes On-Screen Intelligence for contextual help. Additionally, the devices feature a dedicated Kindle reading mode that optimizes battery life up to 20 hours and reduces blue light exposure.

Amazon also announced new Kids tablets in 8.7-inch and 11-inch sizes, bundled with a protective case and a one-year subscription to Amazon Kids+. These models are tailored for different age groups, offering specific case designs and content.

The new tablets will be available in the U.S., Mexico, and Canada starting October 14, 2026. A launch in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain is scheduled for October 19, 2026, with the Kids tablets also arriving in Japan on October 14.
