Amazon has expanded its partnership with Arianespace by ordering six additional Ariane 6 rocket launches. This new agreement brings the total number of missions contracted by Amazon for its Leo satellite constellation from 18 to 24.

The company has already utilized three Ariane 6 missions in 2026, which successfully placed 100 satellites into orbit. Amazon noted that the increased order reflects its commitment to the European launch infrastructure and the reliability of the Ariane 6 vehicle.

The original contract with Arianespace was signed in 2022. Beyond the Ariane 6 missions, Amazon has also secured 38 launches with United Launch Alliance for Vulcan Centaur rockets and 12 launches with Blue Origin for the New Glenn rocket.

Arianespace CEO David Cavailloles stated that the additional contract will help accelerate the launch cadence for the Ariane 6 program. The deal is intended to strengthen European capabilities in providing independent space launch services.
