The electric bike startup ALSO, a spin-off of Rivian, has announced another delay for its TM-B model. Customers who reserved the Launch Edition are now informed that deliveries will take place in waves, concluding by early November at the latest. Previously, the company had aimed for a mid-September delivery window.
The company states that Launch Edition units are currently shipping. However, there is ongoing public speculation regarding whether these shipments have reached general customers or remain limited to company-affiliated individuals. ALSO plans to provide more specific delivery timelines to customers throughout September.
For standard reservation holders, shipping will commence only after the Launch Edition units are fulfilled. These deliveries are scheduled to start in early November and continue through the end of the year, with specific dates depending on the order configuration and placement time. The company is updating its online system to reflect these estimates.
The TM-B features a proprietary DreamRide drivetrain, a drive-by-wire system, an integrated display, and modular accessories. Production is currently underway at the company's factory in Asia. Despite the delays, Chief Commercial Officer Ben Steele stated that the product will be worth the wait for those who have been waiting since last year.
