Alibaba's Qoder team has introduced the Mobile Use plugin in beta, designed to bridge the gap between code modification and verification for mobile applications. While existing coding agents could alter code for Android, HarmonyOS, and iOS, they previously struggled with the final submission and build validation stages.

The new plugin allows developers to integrate code changes directly into running applications across all three platforms. It enables interaction with the software on actual devices to confirm that modifications are effective, ensuring that UI elements and navigation logic function as intended after updates.

Mobile Use does not force a standardized approach across different operating systems. It preserves existing development environments, build tools, and testing frameworks, meaning developers do not need to procure separate hardware specifically for agent testing.

The system provides unified skills and a command-line interface to the agent, focusing on the development cycle of observation, action, and verification. If a specific platform or environment lacks a required capability, the plugin reports this limitation rather than returning a false success status.
