Alfa Romeo has officially named its upcoming concept car Cuorerosso, which translates from Italian as Red Heart. The automaker plans to unveil the vehicle at the Paris Motor Show, with a press conference scheduled for October 12. Teaser materials released by the company suggest a sleek sports car design featuring slim, swept-back headlights and a V6 engine exhaust note.
The concept is positioned as a vision for the brand's future design language and creative direction. While the company has not announced plans for a production sports car, it continues to work on other projects. In May, Alfa Romeo confirmed the development of a new compact crossover and a specialty vehicle created in collaboration with Maserati under the Bottega Fuoriserie project.
Stellantis has classified Alfa Romeo as a regional brand within its corporate structure, alongside Chrysler, Dodge, Citroën, and Opel. The company is currently working on next-generation versions of the Stelvio and Giulia models, which are being redesigned to support combustion engines. Future plans also include expanding the SUV lineup to complement the existing Tonale model.
The brand faces significant commercial challenges, particularly in the United States. Sales for the first half of the year have declined by 45 percent. This follows a period where sales volume dropped by half between 2022 and 2025. The upcoming Paris debut serves as a key moment for the manufacturer to showcase its intent amidst these ongoing market difficulties.
