The Republic of Albania is set to join the Artemis Accords, becoming the 73rd nation to sign the agreement. The ceremony is scheduled for 12 p.m. EDT on Monday, Sept. 21, at NASA Headquarters in Washington, D.C.

The event will be hosted by NASA Deputy Administrator Matt Anderson. The Albanian delegation will include the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ferit Hoxha, and the Ambassador to the United States, Ervin Bushati, alongside representatives from the U.S. Department of State.

The Artemis Accords were established in 2020 by the United States and seven founding nations. The framework provides principles for the safety, transparency, and coordination of civil space exploration activities on the Moon, Mars, and other celestial bodies.
