The new national standard GOST R 70262.3-2026, focused on threats and vulnerabilities in identification and authentication, will take effect on December 1, 2026. The document was developed by Aladdin in collaboration with FSTEC of Russia and its specialized research institute.
The standard establishes a unified structure for describing threats and vulnerabilities, including identifiers, descriptions, and potential consequences. It also provides standardized definitions for terms such as threats, vulnerabilities, and attackers, while clarifying concepts like spoofing, phishing, and pharming.
According to Alexander Boyko, head of the analytical department at Aladdin, the standard addresses fundamental authentication processes applicable to any information system. It serves as a national baseline for designing IT and cybersecurity infrastructure across various organizations.
This document is the eleventh national standard created with the participation of Aladdin. The company has previously contributed to a series of standards regarding identity management and access control, as well as several interstate standards including GOST ISO/IEC 29100-2021.
