Acer has introduced the Project DualPlay Mini concept, a handheld device designed to combine gaming and productivity. The device features a flip-and-swivel screen design that allows the user to fold the screen over the keyboard to transition between a laptop and a handheld gaming mode.
The concept includes a backlit keyboard with physical keys, specifically highlighting the W, A, S, and D keys and arrow keys for gaming. The device is equipped with at least two USB Type-C ports and a cooling system consisting of two fans—one plastic and one metal with thinner blades—similar to the Predator Atlas 8 architecture.
Alongside the concept, Acer expanded its gaming handheld family with the Predator Atlas 7. This model features a 7-inch 1080p display, an 80 Wh battery, and supports up to an Intel Arc G3 Extreme processor and 24GB of RAM. It is expected to be released later this year.
The Predator Atlas 8, an 8-inch model, is expected to go on sale this month. Acer has not provided detailed specifications, pricing, or a release date for the Project DualPlay Mini concept.
